The probability of drawing a 3 Clubs, P(1), is equal to P%281%29=1%2F52. The probability of drawing a Heart, P(2), is equal to P%282%29=13%2F52. Since you could not pull a 3 Clubs that was also a Heart, they are mutually exclusive and in that case the probabilities would add. The probability of drawing a 3 Clubs or a HeartP%281+or+2%29 is equal to P%281+or+2%29=+P%281%29%2BP%282%29=14%2F52.
