If what you really have is 3/(x+2)-1/(5x)=1/x, then multiply the two members by 5x%28x%2B2%29.

If what you really have is 3/(x+2)-(1/5)x=1/x, then multiply the members by 5x%28x%2B2%29, which is again the same as the other identified simplest denominator,... and solve accordingly.
