Question 101812: The distance traveled by a ball rolling down a ramp is given by s(t)=3.5t^2, where t is the time in seconds after the ball is released, and s(t) is measured in feet. find the average velocity of the ball on the interval from t=1.0 seconds to t=1.5 seconds. thanks so much!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the average velocity is the change in distance divided by the change in time

the distance change is s(1.5)-s(1) ... the time change is 1.5-1

(3.5(1.5^2)-3.5(1^2))/(1.5-1) ... (3.5(1.25))/.5 ... v=8.75 ft/sec
