You can put this solution on YOUR website!
add log 3 (6x-2) to each side
log 3 (x+5) + log 3 (6x-2) = 2
Notice that log 3(9) = 2, so substitute in above
log 3 (x+5) + log 3 (6x-2) = log 3(9)
log 3( (x+5)(6x-2) ) = log 3(9)
(x+5)(6x-2) = 9
6x^2 -2x + 30x - 10 = 9
6x^2 + 28x - 10 = 9
add -9 to each side
6x^2 + 28x - 19 = 0
using quadratic equation we get two roots,
only one positive
