other is x+75
in 4 hours the slower travels 4x
the faster travels 4x+300.
Their sum, 8x+300=3700 miles
8x=3400 miles
x=425 mph
x+70=500 mph.
They close at 925 mph, and in 4 hours that is 3700 miles.
