----
Divide both sides by -3 to get:
a-b < 0
---
Add b to both sides to get:
a < b
----
Ans: b is greater than a
-----
Example::
-3(a-b) > 0
Let b be greater than a::
Let b = 7 ; Let a = 3
-----
-3(3-7) > 0
-3(-7) > 0
21 > 0

.
Solve inequalities (almost) just like equations:
.
-3(a-b) > 0 . Divide each side by -3 (reverse inequality sign)
a-b < 0 . Add b to each side.
a < b
.
NOTE: Remember to reverse inequality sign when multiplying
or dividing inequalities by a negative number.
(This is the "almost" just like equations part.)
.
Let a=1; b=2:
.
-3(a-b) > 0
-3(1-2) > 0
-3(-1) > 0
3 > 0
