Question 101684This question is from textbook Algebra 1
: Please help me solve this problem by clearing the equation of all fractions.
5/3 + 2/3x = 25/12 + 5/4x + 3/4
I have tried this:
Found the LCD, then mulitplied the LCD by every fraction in the equation. Next I added the terms that needed to be added on the sides, after that I used the addition property. Then I divided each side by 12x.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 5/3 + (2/3)x = 25/12 + (5/4)x + 3/4 I assume this is the problem
20+8x=25+15x+9 multiply both sides times 12 to eliminate fractions.
20+8x=15x+34
-14=7x subtract 34 and 8x from each side.
x=-2 divide each side by 7
