First, add -1%2F2 to each side
-1%2F2+%2B+1%2F2+%2B+2%2FX+=+3%2F4+-+1%2F2
-1%2F2+%2B+1%2F2+%2B+2%2FX+=+3%2F4+-+2%2F4
2%2FX+=+1%2F4+
multiply each side by 4X
%284X%29%2A%282%2FX%29+=+%281%2F4%29+%2A%284X%29
8 = X

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We can multiply everything by the lowest common denominator, 4x, first.
That will clear all of the fractions.
OR
We can subtract the 1/2 from both sides, then cross-multiply.
You should end up with x = 8 in any case.
