You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Domain of a.
numerator is all x greater than or equal to 1.
denominator is all x except where x=-2 or x=3.
x+-2 is irrelevant since it isn't in the domain of the numerator.
[1,3)U(3,oo)
=========================
x cannot be -2 or 3, and -1 is a critical point as well.
If x is less than -2, the radical is negative
Between -2 and 1, including 1, the radical is positive because two of the inside terms are negative. At 1, the radical is 0.
Between 1 and 3, the radical has one negative term, and that is not allowed.
Greater than 3 it is positive.
(-2,1]U(3,oo)
