K=R-9000
N=(2/3)R
Since we know K and N in terms of R, substitute -
(R-9000)+R+((2/3)R) = 37000
Let's multiply both sides by 3 -
3R-27000+3R+2R= 111,000
8R-27000=111,000
8R=138,000
R= $17,250
K= $8,250
N= $11,500
(Check to see it adds to the sum you stated and the other 2 equations work. This is how you catch a mistake)
