Question 101513: I am at a loss and do not understand this Factoring. Please help me "Factor Completely" the following problem.
8x^2 – 200y^2??
I am at a loss as to even what to do first on this to even attempt to solve. Sorry! Please help? The following is additional directions from my Professor.
***Make sure to superscript all exponents. If you believe that a polynomial is not factorable, label it as prime. Show all stages of factoring separately (i.e., show the result of factoring out a GCF before taking the resulting polynomial and factoring it again).***

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8x%5E2-200y%5E2=
8%28x%5E2-25y%5E2%29=
8%28x-5y%29%28x%2B5y%29----------------ans

Hope this helps----ptaylor
