You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Divide.
(x^2-40/3x-25)÷(3x+5)
---------------------------------------

Use parentheses systematically.

Otherwise it is ambiguous.

Comment from student: The parentheses was used systematically. It was a direct copy from the homework I am trying to complete
(and STILL in the process of doing being that this response wasn't helpful.)

My responce. Unfortunately, I can not see what is written in your homework.
I can only see that come in the post. (And it is in the very first line above).

I can read it differently:

as  %28x%5E2-40%29%2F%283x-25%29 ÷ %283x%2B5%29;

as  %28x%5E2-%2840%2F3%29x-25%29 ÷ %283x%2B5%29;

as  %28x%5E2-%2840%2F3x%29-25%29 ÷ %283x%2B5%29.

Do you see the difference?

Therefore, when you copy and past your formula, it doesn't mean that I can read it in unique way.

This is why the systematic use of parentheses is nessesary.

But if you work on it yourself, it is even better.

It is the best.

Best regards.
