Complement of pi%2F12 is

pi%2F2+-+pi%2F12 = 6pi%2F12+-+pi%2F12 = %28%286-1%29%2Api%29%2F12 = 5pi%2F12.

Complement means that 2 angles add to 90 degrees, or pi/2.
1/2 = 6/12, so if you have pi/12, it will take (5/12) pi to add and get pi/2.
1/12+5/12 = 6/12 = 1/2

Two angles alpha and beta are said to be complementary if alpha%2Bbeta+=+pi%2F2. In other words, alpha and beta are complementary angles if they produce a right angle when combined.
if given alpha=pi%2F12 we have
pi%2F12%2Bbeta+=+pi%2F2
beta+=+pi%2F2-pi%2F12
beta+=+6pi%2F12-pi%2F12
beta+=+5pi%2F12
or beta+=+5%28pi%2F12%29

No math problems with pie, unless it's a pie chart.
Use the Greek letter pi.
