What is the measure of angle r if triangle abc and triangle qrs are similar to each other.
In triangle abc angle a is the bottom left angle and is marked as 30 degrees; angle b is the top angle and is not marked;
angle c is the bottom right angle and is marked as 70 degrees.
In triangle qrs angle q is the bottom left angle and is marked as 30 degrees; angle r is the top angle and is not marked;
angle s is the bottom right angle and is marked as 70 degrees what is the measure of angle r
---------------------------------------------------------------

1.  In triangle ABC LA = 30°;  LC = 70°.

    Hence, LB = 180° - (30° + 70°) = 80°.

2.  In triangle QRS LQ = 30°;  LS = 70°.

    Hence, LR = 180° - (30° + 70°) = 80°.

    Thus we got the answer.

Notice that the rest of information is not relevant to the solution:

    The info regarding placement/location of the angles is irrelevant.
    Even the info about similarity of triangles is irrelevant.
    We didn't use it in the solution.
    The only thing we used in the solution (except of given data about the measures of the angles) was the fact
    that the sum of angles of a triangle is equal to 180°.
