Perimeter P = 2L + 2W = 130. We also know
L = 5 + (1/3)W or
L - 5 = (1/3)W or
W = 3L - 15
Now substitute this into the first equation and get
2L + 2(3L - 15) = 130
2L + 6L - 30 = 130
8L - 30 = 130
8L = 160
L = 20 inches
W = 3(20) - 15 = 45 inches
