You can put this solution on YOUR website!
number is x
(x+8-10)*2=44
22=x-2
x=24
add 8 and get 32
subtract 10 and get 22
That is the difference.
Doubling is 44.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2((x+8)-10)= 44 divide both sides by 2:
(x+8)-10 = 22 Add 10, both sides
x+8 = 32 Subtract 8, both sides
x = 24
--------------------------------------------
Check:
2((24+8)-10) = 44
2(32-10) = 44
2(22) = 44 We have the correct answer
