Question 1011998: I have 1 questions, i wonder if i'm right or something
the question is: Rita spends 28% of her ernings in paying taxes, while 70% of the remaining is spent on her living expensese. If she is left with $7560, what was her income (in $)
I calculated:
0,28x on food and 100-28 = 72, which means 0,7 * 0,72 = 0,504x on Rita's living expenses.
So, $7560 = 1x - (0,28x + 0,504x )
= 1x - 0,784x
= 0,216x
=> x = 7560/ 0,216 = $35000, my classmates keep saying it is wrong :(
