Question 1010922: Avionne is having trouble with telling the similarities and differences between graphing sine and cosine functions. Explain to Avionne, in your own words, how to graph y = 3 sin 2x and y = 3 cos 2x. Be sure to explain the similarities and differences between the steps for graphing them.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Any cosine or sine will vary between +1 and -1
These 2 functions multiply the sine and cosine by +3+,
so they will vary between +3 and -3
-------------------------------
If I say +2x+=+theta+, then I have:
+y+=+3%2Asin%28+theta+%29+ and
+y+=+3%2Acos%28+theta+%29+
+theta+ varies between +0+ and +2%2Api+,
so +2x+=+2%2Api+
+x+=+pi+
+x+ will vary between 0 and +pi+
for each cycle
---------------
Also, the cosine is symmetrical about the y-axis
and the sine is not symmetrical
