smaller number is x, larger is y
(1/3x+(2/5)y=34
(1/2x=(1/4)y
y=2x
(1/3x)+(4/5)x=34
5x+12x=510, multiplying everything by 15 to clear fractions.
17x=510
x=30
1/3 is 10
therefore 2/5 of the other is 24, and the other is 60.
half of 30 is 15, and that is 1/4 of 6-.
The numbers are 30 and 60

x/3+2y/5=34
x/2=y/4
y=2x
