Question 1010754: The directions say this: "Find the value of x or y so that the line through the points has the given slope." It took me a while, but I got the basics down. Then I came across a problem where the slope is undefined, and I'm stuck. Math final is tomorrow, please help! :)

Slope undefined --> parallel to the y-axis, often called vertical.
x, the distance from the y-axis doesn't change.
--> x = -5

An undefined slope means that all x-values are the same. Since x-value from the point (- 5, 8) is - 5, then all points, including (x, 1)
will have an x-value of - 5. Thus, all points will be:
