if one number is 9 times as big as the other,we have
x=9y..........eq.2 substitute it in eq.1
9y%2By=260.........eq.1...solve for y
10y=260
y=260%2F10
highlight%28y=26%29->the smaller number
then,
x=9y..........eq.2
x=9%2A26
