You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What three
numbers are added two at a time, the sums are 41, 50, and 65. What is the sum of all three numbers?
----
Let the numbers be a, b, and c.
---
Equations:
a+ b = 41
a+ c = 50
b+ c = 65
--------
Subtract the 2nd equation from the 1st to get:
b - c = -9
--------
Add that to the 3rd equation to solve for "b"
2b = 56
b = 28
---
Then a = 41-b = 41-28 = 13
And c = 65-28 = 37
---------------
