You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The Wildcats play 84 games this season. At mid-season they had won 30 games. To win at least 60% of all games, how many of the remaining games must they win?
:
Let x = no. of games required to win 60% of all the games
:
60% of all the games = .6(84)
:
30 + x => .6(84)
30 + x => 50.4
You can't play .4 of a game so:
30 + x = 51
x = 51 - 30
x = 21 games have to be won

Check solution: %2830%2B21%29%2F84 = 60.7%
If you only win 20: %2830%2B20%29%2F84 = 59.5%
