Question 1008073: PLEASE HELP ME, I would really appreciate it.
A student goes to swim practice several times a week. In any given week the probability that he swims three times is 0.20, two times is 0.45, one time is 0.20, and no times is 0.15. Find the expected number of times the student goes to practice in any given week.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
E(x)=0.20(3)+0.45(2)+0.20(1)+0.15(0)=
0.60+0.90+0.10=1.60
1.6 times a week is the expected value.
You do this by multiplying the probability by the value of the random variable.
