You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The number is between 98 and 112:
98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112
Since the number is a multiple of 2, all odd numbers can be taken out:
98, 100, 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112
Since 8 is not a factor, any number that can be divided by 8 is taken out:
98, 100, 102, 106, 108, 110
Since the number is not prime, any prime numbers are taken out (none):
98, 100, 102, 106, 108, 110
Since the number is not a square, any square numbers are taken out:
98, 102, 106, 108, 110
The number is the median of the remaining numbers (the middle number when put in ascending order):
98, 102, 106, 108, 110
Final Answer: 106

This is such a STUPID, STUPID word problem. Who writes these? I hope my children never encounter such ridiculous supposed math problems.

Anyway, being a multiple of 2 rules out the possibility of it being a prime number, so “I am not a prime number” doesn’t make any sense.
Multiples of 2 that’re BETWEEN 98 and 112 (not between 112 and 98): 100, 102, 104, 106, 108, and 110.
Not a square rules out 100, and 8 not being one of its factors rules out 104.
This leaves the numbers BETWEEN 98 and 112 as: 102, 106, 108, and 11 ------ The MEDIAN of these numbers is NOT A multiple of 2.
Really now!!
