You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Solve the application problem
Log2 (x) = 3-log2 (x-2)
------------------------------
log%282%2Cx%29 = 3 - log%282%2C%28x-2%29%29 -----> x = %282%5E3%29%2F%28x-2%29 -----> x%2A%28x-2%29 = 8 ----->

x%5E2+-2x+-+8 = 0.

Factor it:

(x-4)*(x+2) = 0.

The roots are x = 4 and x = -2.

Negative x doesn't work due to logarithm . . .

x = 4 works well.

Answer. x = 4.
