Fred is four times as old as his son,Emeka.
F = 4E
If the product of their age is one hundred
and forty-four years
Emeka's age = 'x'
Fred's age = 4x
x(4x) = 144
4x^2 = 144
x^2 = 144/4
x^2 = 36
x + √36
x = 6
Emeko = 6yrs old
Fred = 24yrs old.
