Question 1005014: the perimeter of the square and triangle the same. if the square had a side length of 2x-1 and triangle has a side length of 2(2x-2),x+4,and 3x-1 what is the value of x?
i tried comboning them into an linear equation but it didn't work (example) 2(2x-2)+2x-1-x+4=3x-1

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You confused one of the expressions belonging to the two figures, and you made no accounting for perimeter of the square.

This should made sense now:

If the 3 sides of the triangle are: 2(2x - 2); x + 4; and 3x - 1, NO SOLUTIONS exist.
