You can put this solution on YOUR website!
n = number of nickels
q = number of quarters

q = n + 8
5n + 25q = 830

Substitute the first equation into the second.

5n + 25q = 830
5n + 25(n + 8) = 830
5n + 25n + 200 = 830
30n = 630
n = 21

There are 21 nickels and 29 quarters.
