Any number as long as the number is at least 2. The difference between an atom and an element is that the element is a collection of the same atoms; the particular atom making up the element has its identity according to how many protons in its nucleus and often important, whether it has all its electrons for itself or not.

An atom by itself might not be considered the element. Maybe just a viewpoint. Is one single Chromium atom the same as a quantity of the Chromium element? Not if the definition is to be a collection of all the same atom such that this collection counts more than 1.
