Question 1002653: We have 2 companies (A and B)
Company A charges a daycare center 50 cents a diaper plus $30 per month flat fee and Company B charges a daycare center 40 cents a diaper plus a $50 flat monthly fee.
My question is;
How many diapers can be used so that both companies (A & B)charge the same amount. In other words, what will the break-even point of these two companies be?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let +n+ = number of diapers used
+50n+%2B+3000+=+40n+%2B+5000+ ( in cents )
+10n+=+2000+
+n+=+200+
Both companies charge the same if 200 diapers are used
check:
--------
+50n+%2B+3000+
+50%2A200+%2B+3000+=+13000+
and
+40n+%2B+5000++
+40%2A200+%2B+5000+=+13000+
OK
