You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Pythagorean Theorem :D
Since tangent equals opposite/adjacent we know
opposite=1
adjacent=3
Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuse a^2+b^2=c^2
1^2+3^2=c^2
1+9=c^2
10=c^2
sqrt10=c
hypotenuse=sqrt10
opposite=1
adjacent=3
Sine is opposite over hypotenuse so
sine=1/sqrt10....but most teachers hate a root in the demonatoer so mutplily by
sqrt10/sqrt10 ... this is legal since it equals one
so sine=sqrt10/10
csc is just the inverse of sine so
csc=sqrt10
cosine adjacent over hypotenuse
cosine=3/sqrt10 again root on the bottom so
cosine=3sqrt10/10
sec is the inverse of cosine so
sec=sqrt10/3
inverse of tangent is cotangent so
cot=3

Hope that helps!
