First, start to simplify your terms. Try to keep everything as lined up as possible to avoid confusion, and so you dont lose any of your signs...
4*2x=8x and 4*3y is 12y, so...
%288x%2B12y%29%2B2%284-x-3y%29%2B2
now...2*4=8, 2*x=2x, and 2*3y=6y, so...
%288x%2B12y%29%2B%288-2x-6y%29%2B2
now you can combine your like terms...
%288x%29+%2B+%28-2x%29+=+6x etc., which gives you
6x%2B6y%2B10
