Country A's area = 873 + x
Country A + B = 187,973
(873 + x) + x = 187,973
873 + x + x = 187,973
Collect like terms
x + x = 187,973 - 873
2x = 187100
x = 93,550
Area of land A = 94,423 km
Area of land B = 93,550 km
