First graph the equations so you know what you're dealing with and can determine the limits of integration.

It looks like the line is above the parabola between x=-2 and x=1 so that's the area you're interested in (?).
So then,
A=int%28%28%282-x%29-x%5E2%29%2Cdx%2Cx=-2%2C1%29
A=2x-x%5E2%2F2-x%5E3%2F3%2BC
Evaluating between the limits,

A=9%2F2
