Distributive Property states that the product of a number and a sum is equal to the sum of the individual products of the addends and the number.
The practice is much easier than the definition. In practice, it says:
a(b+c)= (a*b)+(a+c).
Your granddaughter is being asked to apply the distributive law in reverse. here are a few, she can do the rest:
A. (4x4)+(4x5) = 4(4+5)
B. (4x9p)+(4x9)= 4(9+9)
C. (8+5)(8+5) = 8(5+5)
