You can put this solution on YOUR website! The Distributive Property states that a problem can be the same, but simplified, when you "distribute"[multiply] the outside number of a parenthesis to the inside number(s) in the parenthesis. It simply says that a(b+c) is equal to ab+ac.
One example is 3(7+a). Using the Distributive Property, we can simplify it to 21+3a.
