You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I am trying to help my daughter with her algebra 2 homework and we have come across : What are the y-values when x= 4 and when x = -4
-------
Mam----
You are missing a Rule that relates x to y.
It is either missing from your book or it is
stated on the same page as the problem.
====
For example, the Rule may be y = 3x + 5
----
You would then find the value of "y" when x = 4
y = 3*4+5 = 12+5 = 17
---
And you would find the value of "y" when x = -4
y = 3*(-4)+5 = -12 + 7 = -5
------
See if you cannot find the Rule for your daughter's problem.
Cheers,
Stan H.
