2x%5E2%2B5x-297=0-----------maybe factorable. Not sure until try or attempt discriminant.

(discriminant is 25%2B4%2A2%2A297=2401=49%5E2);
Factorable, most likely but easiest to use general formula for a quadratic equation.

x=%28-5%2B-+sqrt%2849%5E2%29%29%2F%284%29

x=%28-5%2B-+49%29%2F4
You want the PLUS form because a negative x could make less sense.
x=44%2F4=11
