You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I will assume the question is
(x+1)/(x^2-2x+1) - (x^3+1)/(x-1)
=(x+1)/(x-1)^2 - (x^3+1)(x-1))/(x-1)^2, because LCD is (x-1)^2
numerator is (x+1)-x^4+x^3-x+1=-x^4+x^3+2=-(x^3)(x-1)+2. The x's cancel.
denominator is (x-1)^2
-(x^3)(x-1)+2/(x-1)^2
Could be rewritten as
-(x^3)/(x-1) + 2/(x-1)^2.
Note. If the parentheses in the original problem are different, the answer will be different, too.
