First you need to know the following conversions:
1 mg = .0000353 oz.
1 mg = .001 gr.
Total Tar / Pack = 20 cigarettes / pack times 5mg of tar / cigarette = 100 mg of tar / pack
Total Nicotine / pack = 20 cigarettes / pack times .40mg of nicotine / cigarette = 8 mg of nicotine / pack
first convert tar to ounces = 100 mg times .0000353 oz = .00353 oz of tar / pack
Next convert Nicotine to grams = 8 mg times .001 grams = .008 gr of nicotine / pack
to coat your lungs with 4oz of tar = 4oz / .00353 oz / pack = 1,133.14 packs
to introduce 1 gram of nicotine = 1gr / .008 gr / pack = 125 packs
