--- I figured out that are are 27.72in in 2.31 feet. So I thought that meant there were 27.72 pounds of pressure. But because it is square inches I was questioning whether or not that was correct, therefore I did not go on to figure out the rest of the problem. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Each 2.31 ft exerts 1 psi. So 4.62 feet would be 2 psi.
psi = feet of column/2.31
psi = 46.2/2.31 = 20
46.2' exerts 20 psi
