If the acceleration of the mortar shell is 32.2 ft/sec^2, downward, and the horizontal and vertical distances to the target are .5 miles and .25 miles respectively, determine the angle Theta at which the mortar should be fired.
What i have figured out:
I know the .5 miles=2640 ft. and the .25 mile= 1320 ft. and also maybe something like {velocity= something Cos(theta)i+ something sin(theta)j} After that im not real sure where the acceleration fits into the problem.
