Question 455311: Ed & Judy Family found themselves lost in a forest. The forested area they were in measured roughly 13 miles from North to South, and 14 miles from East to West. When they realized they were lost, they were at a point that was 7 miles from the Southern border and 7 miles from the Eastern border. (They don't know this or else they would be lost). Since they didn't know which way to go, they devised a plan where they would walk North for the 1st 30 minutes. If they were not out yet, they would turn right and walk East for 60 minutes, then turn right again & walk South of 90 minutes, and so on, adding 30 minutes to their walk with each turn. (No one said this was a smart idea). It turns out that in the forest they covered 1 mile every 30 mins. On which side of the forest did they eventually return from, and how long did it take them?

this is giving me quite a difficult time, if you could solve it i would be most apreciative!!!
