You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Starting the problem, leave everything in
terms of hours and miles/hr
(A)
Use +d+=+r%2At+
+27+=+35%2At+
+t+=+27%2F35+
In +2%2F3+ hr, how far does Amy go?
+d+=+r%2At+
+d+=+35%2A%282%2F3%29+
+d+=+70%2F3+
+d+=+23.333+ mi
She is short of the fishing spot by
+27+-+23.333+=+3.667+ mi
so, she does not make it to fishing spot
-----------------------------------
(B)
From above, she will have to drive +27%2F35+ hrs
To convert to mintes:
[ minutes] = [ hrs ] x [ min / hr ]
+%28+27%2F35+%29%2A%28+60%2F1+%29+=+1620%2F35+
+1620%2F35+=+324%2F7+
+324%2F7+=+46.2857+ min
--------------------------
You can go further and get minutes and seconds
[ seconds ] = [ min ] x [ sec / min ]
+.2857%2A%28+60%2F1+%29+=+17.143+
--------------------------
So, it takes her 46 min 17 sec to get to fishing spot
