A cyclist covers a distance of 50 meters in 10 seconds. Calculate the speed of the cyclist in;
1. metre per second
(50 meters/10 seconds) = 5 meters/second
----------------------------------------------
2.kilometer per hour
(5 meters/second)(1 km/1000 meters)(3600 seconds/1 hr)
-----
= (5*1*3600)/(1*1000*1)(km/hr)
-----
= 18 (km/hr)
----------------------
