Question 825890: A train traveling 88 feet per second takes three seconds to enter a tunnel and another thirty seconds to pass completely through it. What is the lenghth of the train?
Thankyou!!!
I simply multiplied 88 by 3 and got 264!!! Is that right?
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The way I read it, is
the length of the tunnel because 3 sec
is the time to go from entrance to exit
------------------------
The whole train takes
sec to get all the way through
--------------------- sec is times
the length of the tunnel
If is the length of the train,
The train is 2,904 ft long
You might want a 2nd opinion, but this
is how I see it
