You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In 1 second he can run 5 times what he can run in 1/5th of a second, and in 20 seconds he can run 20 times what he can run in 1 second.
If he can run 10 feet in 1/5 of a second, 5 times that is 50 feet (that's what he can run in 1 second). And 20 times that is 1000, or what he can run in 20 seconds.
To solve the problem you multiply 10 * 5 * 20 or 10 * 100 (because 5 * 20 is 100).
I don't think a dog run that fast though.

Solution
From the statement it is evident that a dog has runing speed of
1/5th of second he run= 10 feet
In 1 second he can run= 10* 5 = 50 feet in 1 second
In 20 seconds he can run = 20*50 = 1000 feet
Answer :The dog can run 1000 feet in 20 second

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You can write a proportion:
+%281%2F5%29+%2F+10+=+20+%2F+d+
This is ( sec / ft ) = ( sec / ft )
Multiply both sides by +10d+
+%281%2F5%29%2Ad+=+200+
+d+=+1000+
The dog can run 1000 ft in 20 sec
