You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a car takes 15 mins to travel 4.5 miles. calculate the following
speed in mile/minute(2)
Speed = dist/time
s = 4.5%2F15
s = .3 mi/min (miles per minutes)
:
speed in foot/second(2)
Change 4.5 mi to ft: 4.5(5280) = 23760 ft
Change 15 min to seconds: 15 * 60 = 900 sec
Remember s = dist/time
23760%2F900 = 26.4 ft/sec (feet per second)

second question is a book measures 35 cm in length, 20 cm in width, and 4 cm in thickness.
what is its volume?
:
Volume = length * width * height(thickness)
V = 35 * 20 * 4 = 2800 cu/cm (cubic centimeters)
