Question 647229: You drive a car 3.0 h at 30 km/h, then 3.0 h at 60 km/h.
What is your average velocity?
Answer by colliefan(242) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You drove the car at the different speeds for the same amount of time and so the average speed is just the average of 30 and 60 km/h or 45 km/h.
You would need to weight the averages if you traveled different lengths of times at the different speeds.
